Join us at Edison Local High School on November 19th from 6-8pm for a meeting that will teach you how to protect your property rights when pipeline construction goes wrong.

Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services along with help from FracTracker, and Mountain Watershed Association as well as generous funding and support from the the New World Foundation, is taking the first step in providing that support through two informational meetings open to the public.

The data shows that pipelines are the safest means of transporting oil and gas, but it still comes with its risks. Across our region, those risks are falling on rural and post-industrial communities who aren't getting access to the tools they need to defend their rights.

Construction of the Shell Falcon Pipeline began this spring and will continue through the summer of 2020. During the construction of the similar pipelines people experienced the loss of drinkable well water as well as the loss of usable lands due to changes in flood patterns and grading when dirt is replaced. After seeing the damage caused in the past we realize we need to start providing support now.

Come to this meeting to learn about these risks and how you can defend against them.
