Over the past few months, we have spoken with many communities that have legal, communications, and organizing questions about data centers. This clinic will give individuals, community groups, nonprofits, and municipalities the chance to have a one-time, no-cost virtual consultation focused on :
Who Can Attend? any individual, community group, or nonprofit working on data center issues in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia.
What Types of Legal Questions Can We Ask? Fair Shake attorneys can answer questions including:
Zoning, rezoning, and updated zoning maps
Public notice
Right to know requests
State permits or permitting processes
Becoming a "party of interest"
Utility rate proceedings
Moratoriums, recalls, and referendum procedures
Other questions that connect back to data centers are welcome.
What Types of Communications Questions Can We Ask? Ohio River Valley Institute can help figure out the best way to message and communicate your concerns, ideas, and advocacy based on what your goals are and who you are communicating to.
What Types of Organizing Questions Can We Ask? Buckeye Environmental Network can talk through your strategy, how to build your team up, and brainstorm through challenges to organize and engage your neighbors and community.
